Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) shall assist and support the Group Executive Officer (GCEO) in the Company and report to the Board of Directors (BOD). The CEO develops, implements and controls strategic business plans for the company its existing and any future subsidiaries and/or affiliates (“Group or the Company”) to achieve its business objectives and profits.
This position is the most senior leadership role after that of the Group Chief Executive Officer and, as such, you will have the responsibility and authority to support the development and transformation of the company in addition to driving forward operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- To develop and make recommendations to the BOD & GCEO on strategic transformation initiatives for the Company.
- To assist the GCEO in leading the development of the Company’s short- and long-term strategy and developing clear vision and direction in setting objectives for the Company; and
- Support the GCEO in guiding the senior leadership team with strategic input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the Company; specifically relating to the evaluation of potential fundings, business collaborations and/or partnerships and communications.
- To oversee any fundraising and investor relations initiatives with the support of the investment head and team; and
- To establish good rapport with business partners and stakeholders.
- To work closely with the Company’s advisors and senior leadership team in relation to the Company’s operational structure, implementation and performance to ensure relevant and timely progress is achieved.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.
- To improve the planning and budgeting process on a continual basis with the support of the Chief Financial Officer by educating departments and key members of the senior leadership team members
- Support the GCEO in leading and working alongside with other senior leadership team members in implementing and enforcing governance in the Company to further improve operational and financial effectiveness of the Company.
